Delete account

How to delete your Aura account (developer: Steven Kelm) with all of its data. You can do it in the app or request it by email, without installing the app.

In the app (immediately)

Open Aura and go to Settings → Profile.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.
If you signed in with Apple, you confirm the deletion with Apple once more.

Your account and all data are deleted immediately on our servers and on your device. A sign-in with Apple is revoked automatically.

By email (without the app)

Send an email to kontakt@aura-sport.de with the subject "Delete account". Send it from the email address of your account, i.e. the address you sign in with by email link, Google or Apple, so we can match the account to you.

We delete your account without undue delay, within one month at the latest, and confirm the deletion by email. To remove the data on your device, uninstall the app.

Signed in with Apple and "Hide My Email"?

Then we only know an anonymous relay address from Apple. The easiest way is to delete your account in the app. By email, please tell us the relay address: on your iPhone, go to Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Aura. You can also stop using Sign in with Apple for Aura there yourself, since we can't revoke it for you when deleting by email.

Guest accounts

A guest account has no email address, so we can't match it by email. Delete it in the app. Guest accounts that haven't been used for 90 days are also deleted automatically with all their data.

What is deleted

your account with email address and sign-in data
your profile: date of birth, gender, height, weight, weight history, goals
your food journal and your custom products
your workouts

What isn't deleted immediately

usage analytics data, if you consented: it is deleted after 2 months and contains no entries or health data.
crash reports: they are deleted after 90 days.
your email with the deletion request, until the deletion is done.
data we have to keep due to statutory retention obligations.
